Publication
Before finalizing the end product, I needed to conduct some testing with various print outs to locate the errors and fine-tune the spacing. I have been highlighting the areas that needed adjusting which I have circled either in the text or the spacing between image and text. I managed to locate several errors in this publication and I have also selected some areas in the print outs of what needs to be relocated and readjusted. The signatures for each individual subject that I have design look awesome in a sense that they all have been design to emphasize the subject and images relating to the topic. Although the book contains 64 pages with a spread of 33, it still requires more time in the design process as a result of fully pushing this book to its fullest potential but despite that, the book is looking aesthetically pleasing from the results of feedback I have received from some old design colleges. I have selected to get the book published with
perfect bounded because I feel with the end results with the book containing various images and text; Perfect bind will operate well in link with the design of the publication. In selecting the correct materials that would work in contrast with the book was easy with the help of a professional publisher from Book printing Auckland. They recommended that this particular book would look eye capturing with a perfect bound hard cover design because of the aesthetics the book presents. Using Perfect bound rather than saddle stitch would separate this book from being a magazine to a picture book displayed with some text. The printing out come was very expensive for a perfect bound A3 double-sided printed page on 270 gsm stock.
