Aurasma

Using Aurasma I found to be easy to manage and the steps and processes into developing an AR project via watching some tutorials to use the product seemed rather simplistic. Through out the project I will be conducting patches that will each have a significant design and the individual patches will be uploaded onto the app and then this will be downloaded into the program. All that is needed is for me to build and manufacture the body parts as of from a 2D and 3D view aspect. There will be patches that will have intricate designs that the user will need to figure out what this body part will do. I have struggled in the past to educate my self how to do computer programming and coding. Speaking to Kim who has helped me with some ideas into creating a design of a interactive activity as such that consists of the user who will use the six different patches and then the have to figure out where this body part goes and then position the patch on to a poster that I will be conducting. My augmented reality design of business cards have been conducted. I have built and manufactured these business cards that will contain each individually its own unique design and function that will deliver and transfer the trigger image to make the AR work. I have designed a specific logo for each business card and then added either some brief information that ordinary business cards have to make the business card look more professional and original. I thought this idea will be pleasing and a solid project to do because my personality of design of professionalism works around the circumference of graphics and design. My desire into designing something unique such as these augmented reality business cards is something new towards the area of graphics and design. In the process of fabricating these cards, I wanted to illustrate how they could operate under the use of positioning them on a DLE tag or Wall poster and on a banner along with stationary sets to see how the design could operate with different various material and objects. The idea aspect around this project is to have this business card and then connect a trigger image onto the back of the card that will trigger the AR app to either play a video or to bring a 2D or 3D object out of the business card. On the video side of this design. I wanted to impose knowledge and facts regarding about the small business. The whole entire idea about this is for this project to be used for either small or large business entrepreneurs to give their customers or client these cards and then to have inform them about the AR application for android or ios iPhones to download the application and then to scan the trigger image on the back of the card for them to gain some simple knowledge about the company. As for the idea of the 3D image design for some business

Conceptual statement.

Aurasma is HP Autonomy's augmented reality platform. It is available as an SDK or as a free app for iOS and Androidmobile devices. Aurasma's image recognition technology uses a smartphone or tablet's camera to recognize real world images and then overlay rich media on top of them in the form of animations, videos, 3D models and web pages. Both businesses and individuals use Aurasma to create and share their own augmented reality experiences as well as to discover hidden digital content around them. Teachers are among the most active group using the platform.

Using Aurasma was very easy to operate with in terms of developing my final pieces of work for the augmented reality project. I found that this programme is very simple and easy to use from all the accessible functions used in aurasma. The project I conducted has been composed to be an interact work of art with combining technology and graphics design together to formulate a new form of a reality of stationary products. This project I constructed is to target companies with a new way of introducing a marketing way to inform clients and customers who want to find out some quick information regarding the company. This project is just an idea for the future of augmented reality projects which is this idea I produced is to have people receive mail an to interact with the mail received in the letter box. To me this all about fun in producing a new generation of synthetic reality approach towards graphics an design.

Here I am developing a concept that contains an augmented reality that will be reflected onto the business cards and posters of the company. Using an augmented reality for this project brings a virtual world into reality regarding about the company. For this project I have developed various pieces of art works such as posters and pencils that will polish up the display of the stationary that I have developed. The stationary that has been developed for my project are letterheads, business cards and envelopes, which are the basic pieces of equipment stationary that is required for the company. In addition to this company that I have made is also wires in with my audio project. I conducted a new logo that connects well with the form of the company name ‘JAudio’. Here with this new company logo that I have manufactured has circular motions operating through the logo to reflect and emphasize the shapes and positions of audio speakers. I wanted to build an emphasis on the logo to have similar shapes and vidual textures as the speakers will have, but although the logo looks a little too literate, the logo to me acts perfectly for my design project.

Letterheads.

During the process of developing this design idea via manufacturing these augmented reality stationary sets and business cards that play different videos that each business card and poster containing its very own separate unique video. I wanted to build the architecture between the forms of a synthetic reality and connecting this with graphics and design meshing the two various subjects together to build an idea that contains a connection of AR (Augmented Reality) and graphics and Design.  The idea of this assignment is to target small entrepreneur businesses such as AS colour of Federation clothing, the businesses that have succeeded in New Zealand. I wanted to bring a synthetic reality into play with applying a small video or either that connects with what the company is about or

Business Cards

The Business card that I designed for this company is very simplistic. It stands out differently from any other business card because it contains an aura with a video displayed on the back of the card. I conducted a short video that is a time-lapse of a sky. With this idea of completing a time-lapse of the trees and sky clouds moving across the sky, I thought will work perfectly with the music a made to fit that particular video. Rather than display my details of who I am, I kept the card as simple as possible by applying my logo design on its own in the front of the business card.

Logo Design

Here is the development of my assignment through using blender programme. I am developing 3D logo that will be added into my project by building an AURA that will consist of this 3D logo composed into a part of my stationary pieces. Using Blender w made the job in manufacturing the logo very easy because i found that using this program in constructing this logo as basic. The programme was easy to follow and it took 5 minutes to extrude this logo design. I conducting this logo, the reason as to why i want to further developed and use this signature in my presentation of my stationary is because it adds value towards the nature of my work. Using the logo and converting it into 3D is a completely another level for this stationary set. This 3D logo will be added into aurasma to become an aura. I want to compliment this logo as an aura for my business card. This eye capturing logo will add an effect of stationary set augmented reality. This idea of conducting this 3D logo is so the viewer can visualise the effects of this logo from a 3D perspective.  Conducting a logo that gives of the feeling of movement in proportion to having these circles that represent the shape of speakers. I wanted to build a since of creativity towards the nature of how the speakers have been built. Building this logo, I was influenced by the logo design of the car audio brand commonly known as Fusion car audio. It shows complexity but brings the idea of fabricating a piece of artwork. I then added some type into the logo that contains the first letter of my name and then adding the first letter of my last name which is 'Amundsen' but converted it to become 'Audio' I then made a clipping compound to the label to connect the type to the logo design.

Design Patches

Here I have conduct and fully developed the final pencil patches for my augmented reality stationary design project. In the process of constructing these patches I wanted to keep the form of the logo with that connects with the stationary set, which is why, have added the logo into the patches. I had to add a unique shape in the patches using triangles, rectangles and ellipses for the program 'Aurasma' to identify the trigger image. I could get the logo standing on its own because aurasma could not register the pending image of the logo on its own hence using shapes in the background of the patch. These are the final forms of the design patches that will be used in my assignment.
