Printing Inspiration

Printing of sorts. I have been operating with several design ideas of various methods of printing. I wanted to go with this idea of letter pressing and embossing but it was unfortunate to have been told by Magpie Press who are based here in Auckland city (http://www.magpiepress.co.nz/) They have an amazing background in letter embossing, Laminating prints and letterpress which all are seriously expressive printing options that i wanted to impose into my Business cards and Complimentary cards. Because letter pressing is expensive undergo, i was give another option which is more cost effective for students who cannot afford letter pressing ($60) per business card. The idea that was given was to use printing with Clear coat which will emboss the typography or images on the card. Going with this idea of printing techniques requires a very expensive printer that our faculty, University does not contain. I spoke to a Man from book printing New Zealand who has the position of this printer which in this case all of printing will be manufactured by Bookprinting.co.nz to complete all I require to be printed in final to my exhibition.
